Operations, Fundraising, and Strategic Partnerships
Our partnership
Good Influence served as project manager for a statewide initiative called the CA Black Census and Redistricting Hub, a project of California Calls. We ensured the project’s operations, communications, outreach, advocacy, fundraising, and partnerships were strategic and impactful.
Our process and deliverables
Managed finances and fundraising of $2.8 million for the CA Black Hub
Coordinated staff, consultants, and vendors to execute the 2020 census outreach and 2021 redistricting programs
Brokered and managed partnerships with UC Berkeley’s Othering and Belonging Institute, the UCLA Bunche Center for African American Studies, Advancement Project CA, and the USC Equity Research Institute, as well as key CA Black elected leaders
Oversaw strategy and content for the CA Black Hub’s thought leadership blog, reports, and stakeholder events
Our commitment to being a good influence
Ama has that rare ability to be a strategic thinker and at the same time a leader who pays attention to the tactics, operations, and details. I appreciate the big picture vision that she holds, as well as her focus and discipline to carry out the work in clear and measurable ways…She’s also just a pleasure to be around.
